goodbye xanga

So, its been months since I've posted any sort of xanga entry. I'm not sure why... I guess xanga and I have just grown apart. (haha)

Actually, I started a new blog today. I felt the need for a place to post my thoughts, and I kind of forgot that I had a xanga until I was half way through my first post. go figure. Anyways, I'm kind of in the mood for a change. Nothing against xanga... its just time for something new :)

So beat the drum...

(I would have written sooner but my computer crashed a week ago and things have been crazy)

Big News! (I feel ridiculous posting it and in a way drawing attention to myself, but I think my friend want to know this kind of stuff)

I got cast as Millie in Taylor University's production of the musical "Thoroughly Modern Millie"!

I'm really excited, kind of intimidated, and very much still in shock.

The show will run November 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, and 11... come see it if you're in Upland, Indiana! (or somewhere nearby)

The number 10

Sunday I ran a 10 mile race at a 10 minute mile pace and then drove 10 hours to Upland, IN. crazy.

So, I'm here at Taylor and haven't had a moment to sit and breathe until now. As soon as I got here, I lunged straight into move-in mode and spend all of Monday frantically unpacking with my roommate. Today classes started. Needless to say my life has been a whirlwind, but I'm pumped for this semester!

July 20th...

... didn't exist for me last year.

July 18th - flew to LAX and got stuck there (dang power outage)
July 19th - still stuck in LAX until 9:00pm at which time my plane took off for Australia
July 20th - non-existent
July 21st - wake up after a 12 hour plane ride and land in Auckland, New Zealand... weird.

So yeah... this is the anniversary of the day that didn't exist for me. Here's to you, July 20th 2006.
